You stay in control of every connection. Pick whether your assistant can only answer questions, help manage work, or spend from your wallet—and set a daily limit whenever money is involved.
The three levels
Read only. See campaigns, analytics, wallet, PR orders and attribution. Cannot change anything. This is the right choice if you mainly want to ask questions about performance.
Manage campaigns. Everything in Read, plus create drafts, edit targeting and bids, pause campaigns, archive them, and set up attribution. Cannot commit money.
Manage and spend. Everything in Manage, plus launch campaigns, raise budgets, and pay for PR orders from your wallet, up to a daily cap you set.
The levels are strictly ordered, and the level is checked on every single call before any work happens. A Read connection asking to launch a campaign is refused, not asked to confirm.
The daily spending cap
A Spend connection has a rolling daily limit in US dollars. The default is $500 and the maximum is $25,000, though the Mintfunnel team can set different bounds for your account.
Three things to know about how it works:
- The cap applies to the connection, not to your account. Two connections with $500 each can commit $1,000 between them in a day.
- It counts the full amount committed, not the amount eventually spent. Launching a campaign with a $2,000 budget counts $2,000 against the cap that day, even though delivery takes longer.
- Hitting the cap stops the action cleanly. Nothing partial happens, and your assistant will tell you the limit was reached.
The cap is a containment measure, not your budget. Your campaign budgets and wallet balance still apply on top of it.
Getting an email when money moves
Any single action committing $250 or more sends a security email to the account owner, on top of the entry in the activity log. That threshold is set by the Mintfunnel team and applies regardless of your cap.
Changing your mind
Go to Account → AI Agents. For any connection you can:
- Change its access level.
- Change its daily cap.
- Revoke it entirely, which takes effect on the next request.
Revoking is instant and does not require the client to cooperate. See Monitoring and revoking agent access.
Which level should you pick
Start with Read. It answers the questions most people connect for, and it cannot cost you anything.
Move to Manage when you find yourself asking the assistant for changes you then make by hand. Move to Spend only if you want launches and PR payments to happen in the conversation, and set the cap to something you would be comfortable losing to a misunderstanding. It is not a budget; it is a blast radius.
