Approving PR Orders in Your Queue
How publishers review and act on the press-release placements that customers send to their sites, from your approval queue.
Last updated
Once you've enrolled a site in Mintfunnel PR distribution, customer press releases targeting your site appear in your approval queue. From there you decide whether to accept and publish each one, or reject it.
Where to find your queue
Sign in to your Mintfunnel publisher account and click Approval Queue in the left navigation, or open app.mintfunnel.co/publisher/pr-orders. If you run more than one PR-enabled site, every placement across all of them shows up here and each row is labeled with which site it's for.
The four tabs
- Pending — placements waiting on your decision. This is your action surface. The count is shown as a red badge so you can see at a glance whether anything needs attention.
- Approved — placements you've accepted but haven't published yet. They go to your publishing path (WordPress plugin, API, Zapier, or your manual workflow).
- Published — placements that are live on your site. Each row links to the public coverage URL.
- Rejected — your full rejection history with the reason you gave for each one. Kept for your reference; the customer never sees the rejection reason.
What each placement card shows
Click into a Pending row to see the full proposed article: title, body, link, supporting images, and the publication payout for accepting the placement. You also see the customer's contact info and any notes they sent with the order.
Approving a placement
Click Approve on the placement detail page. The placement moves to the Approved tab and is dispatched along your publishing path:
- WordPress Plugin: the article is created as a draft on your WordPress site automatically.
- API / Webhook: a webhook fires to your endpoint with the article payload.
- Zapier: the same webhook fires to your Zapier hook URL, where you've set up the publishing workflow.
- Manual: nothing automated — publish on your own and come back to mark the placement as published.
Bulk approve
If you have multiple placements waiting and you trust the lot, select them with the checkboxes and click Bulk approve. You still see each article before approving — bulk approve operates only on placements you've already reviewed.
Rejecting a placement
Click Reject and provide a short reason. Common reasons: off-topic for your site, content guideline mismatch, or formatting concerns. The reason is visible only to you and the Mintfunnel Team for routing decisions; the customer is never shown the rejection reason.
Rejected placements are reassigned by the Mintfunnel Team — typically to another publisher better suited to the topic — so the customer's order still goes out.
Auto-approve
If you want every placement to bypass the queue and dispatch immediately, you can enable Auto-approve from your PR distribution settings. Auto-approve skips your queue, not the Mintfunnel review step — every placement is still reviewed by the Mintfunnel Team for content guideline compliance before it reaches you. See Offering PR Distribution on Your Site for setup.
After publishing
Once the article is live on your site, the placement automatically moves to the Published tab and your payout is credited to your wallet balance. Automated publishing paths (WordPress, API, Zapier) report the publish back to Mintfunnel; manual publishers come back and click Mark Published themselves.
Why an order didn't appear
Customer orders are only released to publishers once they've cleared the Mintfunnel Team's internal review. If a customer just placed an order, it may still be in pre-publisher review (statuses Submitted or In Review). It will appear in your Pending tab once the order moves to In Progress.
