Installing & Configuring the Mintfunnel WordPress Plugin

Install the Mintfunnel Integration plugin on your WordPress site, connect it with your API token, and configure categories and payouts.

Last updated

The Mintfunnel Integration plugin lets publishers receive press releases and articles from the Mintfunnel platform directly into their WordPress site. Posts arrive through a signed REST endpoint, are categorized according to your settings, and are published under a dedicated Mintfunnel author account, no manual uploads required.

Heads up: This plugin was previously named "Coinscribble Integration." The platform was rebranded to Mintfunnel. The plugin's functionality is unchanged and existing installs continue to work after upgrading. If you already have the older "Coinscribble Integration" plugin installed, WordPress will offer the rebranded version as a normal update.

Step 1: Install the plugin

You can install the plugin one of two ways.

Option A: From the WordPress Plugin Directory

  1. In your WordPress admin, go to Plugins > Add New Plugin.
  2. Search for Mintfunnel Integration (older versions of the directory listing may still show as "Coinscribble Integration" until the rebrand propagates; either will work).
  3. Click Install Now, then Activate.

Option B: Upload the .zip file

If a Mintfunnel team member has shared the plugin's .zip directly with you (or you downloaded it from wordpress.org/plugins/coinscribble-integration/):

  1. Go to Plugins > Add New Plugin and click Upload Plugin at the top of the page.
  2. Choose the .zip file from your computer.
  3. Click Install Now, then Activate.

Note: If you use a caching plugin, it may take 5 to 30 minutes for the plugin to show as activated. If you have activated the plugin and don't see it as active, wait 30 minutes and refresh, or temporarily disable your cache plugin before activating Mintfunnel Integration.

Step 2: Connect your API token

Once activated, you'll see a new Mintfunnel entry in your WordPress sidebar.

  1. Click Mintfunnel in the sidebar to open the plugin settings.
  2. Paste the API token provided by the Mintfunnel Team. If you don't have one, reach out via the chat bubble in your Mintfunnel publisher dashboard.
  3. Click Save Changes to activate the connection.

Once connected, the plugin will start receiving press releases the moment they are approved on your publisher account.

Step 3: Map content categories

From the same settings page, you control which types of content the plugin is allowed to publish and where each type lands on your site.

  1. For each content type (press release, sponsored article, organic article), check the Allow posting box.
  2. Pick the WordPress category you want posts of that type to be assigned to.
  3. Save your changes.

If you leave Allow posting unchecked for a content type, Mintfunnel will skip your site for that type. Useful if you only want, say, press releases on your site but not sponsored articles.

Step 4: Set your preferred payout method

The plugin also lets you choose how you want to be paid for content delivered to your site.

  • Crypto wallet (USDC). Enter the wallet address where you want to receive payouts. See Receive Payouts in USDC for the full flow.
  • PayPal or bank transfer. The form will collect the relevant information for the method you choose.
  • Stripe Connect. Set up at the account level. See Linking a Payout Method.

Important: If your wallet address ever changes, update it in the plugin immediately. Payouts are sent to whatever address is on file, and funds sent to a wallet you no longer control may be lost.

Updates handled automatically

If a press release is edited on Mintfunnel after it's been published to your site, the plugin updates the existing WordPress post in place. No duplicates, no manual action required on your end.

Troubleshooting

I activated the plugin but no posts are arriving. Make sure your API token is pasted in correctly (no leading/trailing spaces). Then place a test order through your publisher account, or ask the Mintfunnel Team to send one. If still nothing shows up, contact the Mintfunnel Team with your site URL.

Posts are arriving but landing in the wrong category. Open the Mintfunnel plugin settings and confirm the category mapping for each content type. Save and try again.

I'm upgrading from "Coinscribble Integration." Will anything break? No. The rebrand is a name change only; functionality and stored settings are preserved. After the update completes, the menu label in WordPress changes from "Coinscribble" to "Mintfunnel" but your API token, category mappings, and payout settings remain in place.
