If your assistant will not connect or has stopped working, start here. These checks resolve the most common setup issues.

The client will not connect at all

Check the URL. It is https://app.mintfunnel.co/mcp, with no trailing slash and no path after /mcp.

Check your client supports remote MCP servers. Some clients only support local servers. If yours cannot add a remote server by URL, it cannot connect.

Check you are on an advertiser account. The server is not available to publisher accounts. If your login is a publisher account, the connection is refused with a message saying so.

Check your email is verified. An account with an unverified email address is refused. Verify from your account settings and reconnect.

The connection worked before and now fails

It was revoked. Someone on the account may have removed it from Account → AI Agents. Reconnect and it will work again.

The account is suspended. A suspended account cannot use the server. Contact the Mintfunnel team.

A personal key expired. Keys last 365 days. Mint a new one.

Your assistant is holding a stale token. Disconnect and reconnect the connector in your client.

It connects but cannot do what you asked

Check the access level. A Read connection cannot change anything, and will say so rather than asking you to confirm. Raise the level under Account → AI Agents, or reconnect at a higher level.

Check the daily spending cap. If an action would take the day past the cap, it is refused cleanly. The cap resets daily, or you can raise it.

Check your wallet balance. Launching a campaign or paying a PR order needs funds. The action fails without partially charging you.

The confirmation expired. A preview is good for 15 minutes. Ask again to get a fresh one.

It says a campaign or order does not exist

The server answers "not found or not permitted" for anything that is not on your account. This is deliberate: it is the same answer whether the record is missing or belongs to someone else, so the surface cannot be used to probe other accounts.

If you are certain the id is right, check you are connected as the account that owns it. Identifiers come from the list and get tools; an id guessed or carried over from another account will not resolve.

Attribution numbers look wrong or empty

This is usually tracking rather than the connection. Ask your assistant to verify the install for the site in question. It will tell you whether beacons are arriving, when the site was last seen, why beacons were rejected if they were, and which hostnames are sending traffic that is not registered as a site. That last one is the most common silent mistake.

If attribution has never been set up, results say so rather than returning zeros as though they were real.

Nothing here fixed it

Contact the Mintfunnel team at support@mintfunnel.co. Include:

  • The client you are connecting from.
  • What you asked for, and what came back.
  • Roughly when it happened, so the activity log can be checked.
