Understanding PR Order Statuses
A guide to every status your press release order can move through, from Pending Payment to Complete, and what each one means for you.
Last updated
Every PR distribution order moves through a small set of statuses from the moment you place it to the moment all placements are live. The status is shown on your order list and on each order's detail page. Here's what each one means and what's expected of you (if anything) at that step.
The standard lifecycle
A successful order moves Pending Payment → Submitted → In Review → In Progress → Partially Delivered → Complete. Two side-channel statuses (Revisions Pending and Cancelled) can also appear; they're covered below.
Pending Payment
The order has been created but not paid for yet. You can still edit the intake (title, body, link, etc.) freely at this point.
What to do: head to checkout when you're ready. You can pay from your wallet, by card, or in USDC. The order automatically advances to Submitted as soon as payment is confirmed.
Submitted
Payment cleared and the order is in our queue, waiting for a member of the Mintfunnel Team to do an initial review. We're checking that the content meets our distribution guidelines and that the chosen publishers are a good fit.
What to do: nothing — sit tight. You can still edit the intake.
In Review
The Mintfunnel Team is actively reviewing the article. If anything needs adjusting, we may either edit the draft directly (and notify you) or send you a revision draft to approve.
What to do: watch for an email if we send a revision draft for your approval. See for the details.
In Progress
Review is complete and your order has been released to the publishers you selected. Each publisher either accepts the placement and publishes the article, or rejects it (in which case it's typically reassigned to another publisher).
What to do: nothing required. You can no longer edit the intake directly at this point — if you need a change, request it through the team and they'll send a revision draft.
Partially Delivered
At least one (but not all) of your placements has been published. The order will continue to move through this status until every placement is either published or finalized.
What to do: nothing required. You'll see the published links populate on the order page as they go live.
Complete
Every placement on the order has been finalized. The order is closed and all coverage links are visible on the order detail page.
What to do: nothing — you're done. Bookmark the order page if you'd like easy access to the coverage links later.
Revisions Pending
A side-channel status. The order moves into Revisions Pending whenever the Mintfunnel Team has proposed edits that need your approval before they're applied. The order returns to its previous status once you accept or reject.
What to do: review the proposed changes and accept or reject them. You'll get an email and an in-app notification when this happens.
Cancelled
The order has been cancelled. If it was paid, a refund has been issued to the original payment source (wallet, card, or USDC address). The order is terminal in this state.
Tracking progress
The order page shows the status timeline at the top so you can see at a glance where you are in the lifecycle. You'll also receive in-app and email notifications at the major status changes (you can tune which emails you receive from your notification preferences).
