Your agency team lives on the team page in your workspace. This article covers the whole lifecycle: inviting a teammate, giving them a role, scoping a Member to specific clients, handling pending invitations, accepting an invite, suspending or removing a member, and transferring ownership.
Who can manage the team
Managing the team, sending invitations, changing roles, and suspending or removing members, is limited to Owner and Admin. Managers, Members, and Analysts cannot see or change team settings. See Team roles and permissions.
Invite a teammate
- Open Agency, then Team in your workspace.
- Go to the invitations area and start a new invitation.
- Enter the teammate's email address.
- Choose the role they should have: Admin, Manager, Member, or Analyst. (Owner is not an invite option; there is one Owner, changed only by ownership transfer.)
- Send the invitation.
The invitation is sent by email and shows in your invitations list as Pending. The teammate does not appear as an active member until they accept.
Assign a Member to specific clients
The Member role is the only one scoped to particular clients, so it takes one extra step.
- Invite the teammate (or open an existing member) and set their role to Member.
- On the member's edit page, a checklist of your active clients appears.
- Check every client this person should work on, and save.
The Member will see and manage only those clients. Everything else in the workspace stays invisible to them. If you later change their role away from Member, the client assignments are cleared automatically, because no other role is client-scoped. Full role behavior is in Team roles and permissions.
Manage a pending invitation
From the invitations list you can act on any invitation that has not been accepted yet:
- Resend. If the teammate lost the email or it expired, resend it. A fresh invitation goes out.
- Revoke. Cancel an invitation you no longer want honored. Once revoked it can no longer be accepted.
Invitations expire on their own if they are not accepted in time. An expired invitation cannot be accepted; resend it or send a new one.
Accept an invitation (for the person invited)
If you were invited to join an agency:
- Open the invitation link from the email you received.
- Review the agency and the role you are being given.
- Accept. Your agency membership becomes active immediately and you land in the workspace at your assigned role.
Each person can belong to one agency at a time.
Suspend, reactivate, or remove a member
Owners and Admins can change a member's standing from the team page:
- Change role. Open the member and pick a new role. The change takes effect right away. Remember that switching away from Member clears client assignments.
- Suspend. Temporarily disable a member's access without deleting them. A suspended member cannot act in the workspace until reactivated. Use this when someone is on leave or their access is under review.
- Reactivate. Restore a suspended member to active.
- Remove. Take a member off the team entirely.
Removing or suspending a member does not undo the work they did. Everything they created stays where it belongs, on the client accounts, and the activity log keeps the permanent record of who did what. See Reading the activity log.
Transfer ownership
There is one Owner at a time, and only the current Owner can hand the role over.
- Open Agency, then Team, and go to the owner-transfer page.
- Pick the teammate who should become the new Owner. Only eligible existing members are offered.
- Confirm the transfer.
Ownership moves to the chosen member and the previous Owner steps down to an appropriate role. The transfer is recorded in the activity log. Plan this deliberately: ownership carries the ability to move money, manage the whole team, and transfer ownership again.
