Linking your existing account to an agency

If you already have a Mintfunnel account and want an agency to manage it, you can link your account to that agency yourself. You stay in control the whole time: you choose how much access the agency gets, and you can unlink at any moment.

If you already have a Mintfunnel account and want an agency to manage it, you can link your account to that agency yourself. You stay in control the whole time: you choose how much access the agency gets, and you can unlink at any moment.

Before you start

Ask your agency for their management ID. It is a short code in the format `123-456-7890` that identifies the agency on Mintfunnel. The ID on its own grants no access to anything; it just lets you send them a link request.

  1. Go to My Account, then Agency access.
  2. Enter the agency's management ID.
  3. Choose the access scope you want to grant:
  • Full access: the agency can manage your campaigns, PR orders, and wallet funding on your behalf.
  • Read-only: the agency can view your account and performance, but cannot change anything.
  1. Submit the request.

What "pending" means

After you submit, the request shows as pending. Nothing has happened to your account yet: the agency has zero access while a request is pending. Access begins only if and when the agency accepts your request.

Pending requests expire automatically after 14 days if the agency does not respond. You can send a new request after that.

Once the agency accepts, you are notified, the link becomes active, and the agency's access begins at the scope you chose.

What the agency can and cannot do

  • The scope you picked is a hard cap. On a read-only link, no one at the agency can change anything on your account, regardless of their role inside the agency.
  • Because you created your account yourself and invited the agency in, your own access is never restricted. Agencies can only limit the logins of accounts they created themselves; an independent account that invites an agency always keeps full control.
  • Every action the agency takes on your account is recorded in your activity feed, labeled with the agency's name. See Reading the activity log.

One agency at a time

Your account can have one active agency link at a time. To switch agencies, unlink from the current one first, then send a request to the new one.

Unlinking

You can unlink at any time, no notice period, no agency approval needed:

  1. Go to My Account, then Agency access.
  2. Click Unlink and confirm.

The effect is immediate. From that instant the agency cannot view or touch your account, including anything they had open at the time.

  • Your account, campaigns, PR orders, and wallet balance stay with you. Everything the agency created for you lives on your account and remains yours.
  • Your activity history stays on your account, including the record of what the agency did while linked. That history is yours to keep.
  • The agency loses all access, including read access. They keep their own internal records of work they performed, but they can no longer see your account.
  • You can re-link to the same agency or a different one later; it starts as a fresh request.
