Your management ID is how existing Mintfunnel accounts connect to your agency. This article covers where to find it, why it is safe to share, and how to handle incoming link requests.
Where to find it
Open Agency, then Link requests in your workspace. Your management ID is displayed at the top of the page, in the format `123-456-7890`.
It is safe to share
The management ID identifies your agency; it does not authenticate anyone. Someone who has it can do exactly one thing: send you a link request, which you can decline. It grants no access to your workspace, your clients, or your wallet. Put it in your onboarding emails, your proposals, or your website if you like.
How a client links to you
- The client goes to My Account, then Agency access in their own Mintfunnel account.
- They enter your management ID and choose a scope: full access or read-only.
- The request lands in your Link requests queue and you are notified.
While the request is pending you have no access to their account. Pending requests expire after 14 days.
Accepting or declining
From the Link requests queue, review the request and either:
- Accept. The link becomes active immediately at the scope the client chose. The client's account appears in your Clients hub and your team can start working within that scope.
- Decline. Nothing happens to either account. The client is notified and can send a new request later.
Scope is set by the client
On client-initiated links, the client is in charge of scope:
- Full access lets your team manage their campaigns, PR orders, and wallet funding, subject to each teammate's agency role.
- Read-only caps everyone at your agency to viewing. Even your Owner cannot make changes on a read-only link.
If a client granted read-only and you need more, ask them to unlink and re-link with full access.
One more thing to know: accounts that linked to you this way are independent accounts. You can never restrict the client's own access on them. The client access ladder applies only to accounts your agency created. See Client access levels.
Unlinking
Either side can unlink at any time:
- You: open the client's page in your workspace and choose Unlink.
- The client: from their Agency access page.
Unlinking takes effect immediately. Your agency loses all access to the account, the client keeps everything on their account including the full activity history, and both sides are notified. A future re-link starts as a brand-new request.
Each client links to one agency
A client account can hold one active agency link at a time. If a prospect is currently linked to another agency, they need to unlink there before their request to you can go through.
