Client access levels

When an agency creates a managed account for a client, the agency decides how much the client's own login can do on that account. Mintfunnel expresses this as a four-step ladder. This article explains each level, who it applies to, and the one big exception.
Who this applies to (and who it never applies to)
The access ladder applies only to accounts an agency created for a client. On those accounts the agency is primary, and it can scope what the client's login can do.
It never applies to independent accounts. If you signed up for Mintfunnel yourself and later invited an agency in with your management-ID link, your access is never restricted: not by the agency, not by any level on this ladder. On your account, you cap the agency, not the other way around.
The ladder
Each level includes everything below it.
View-only
The client can log in, see their campaigns, PR orders, wallet, and activity feed, and download reports. They cannot change anything. This is the default for newly created managed accounts: transparency first, controls granted as the relationship matures.
Editor
Everything in view-only, plus the client can work with what already exists: edit campaigns, pause and resume them, and manage their PR orders.
Manager
Everything in Editor, plus the client can create: launch new campaigns and place new PR orders themselves.
Funder
Everything in Manager, plus the client can add money: attach their own payment method and top up their own wallet by card or USDC, within limits the agency sets. Funder is the only level that touches money. Note that even a Funder client only funds with their own payment method; the agency's payment method is never visible or usable to any client at any level.
Changing a client's level
Agency Owners and Admins set the level on the client's edit page in the agency workspace.
- Changes apply immediately. There is no delay and nothing for the client to accept. If a client is mid-session, the new level applies to their very next action.
- Every change is logged. The activity log records who changed the level, and the old and new values. The client can see this entry on their own feed.
What this does not affect
- The client's ability to see their account. Even at view-only, the client always has full visibility into their own campaigns, orders, wallet, and activity history. The ladder gates actions, never visibility.
- The client's own self-funded money. Withdrawal rights on self-funded balances are governed by fund provenance, not by the ladder. See Funding and wallets.
- The agency team's own permissions, which come from agency roles. See Setting up your agency.
